GOING OVERSEAS PART II

Last March 20 I attended the interview for my application in Qatar. I'm quite clueless about the employer on how he is going to interview me. But I came prepared on that day, in fact I arrived early at the venue.

I think there were around 10 applicants who are applying for the same position and while waiting for my turn, I had the chance to talk with my co-applicants.

Finally it was my turn to be interviewed and upon seeing the employers I kinda felt comfortable. They asked technical terms about my job and I'm glad that I was able to answer all their questions and I'm quite confident that I gave my best during the interview.

I just hope that interview will merit a good result.

GOING OVERSEAS

Tomorrow I will be having my interview with the employer from Qatar. As of the moment I have mixed feelings on what will happen tomorrow. It is my first time to attend in this kind of interview and I don't know what to expect from this foreigner. I am thinking some strategies on how am I going to sell myself and how to impress the employer so that I can qualify in the position I'm applying for.

I've been applying jobs abroad since last year but I just couldn't find the right time. With the current economic situation that we are experiencing right now, I think this is the right time for me to look for some greener pasteur. I'm no longer happy with my status here in the Philippines and I can see how difficult life here. I know living outside your country is a lot harder but compensation wise it is one hundred times better. I'm not getting any younger and I have a lot of plans for myself and for my family, besides I'm on the right age to work abroad.

I just hope that with this decision, I may find the things that I am looking for and hopefully my life would get better. And I hope tomorrow will turn out things right the way I expected.

WASTED BEAUTIES

I'm always being fascinated by beauty pageants, in fact I've been a fan of them because I'm a person who knows how to appreciate beauty!

Yearly I watch Binibining Pilipinas and I always gets excited who will win the 3 titles. Last night was the culminating of Binibining Pilipinas, the most prestigious beauty pageant  in the Philippines. Three lucky ladies bagged the three most coveted titles, the Binibining Pilipinas International, World and Universe. Three ladies bested 21 other contestants vying for the three crowns.

This year I may say was the best batch of finalists. They were all stunning and I think they all have the brains, however, I was kinda disappointed  by the results of the winners, (well what do you expect from BB. Pilipinas for the past years). There was a big mistake in choosing the title holders, I know they also deserve to win but I think somebody is more deserving than them, or should I say the placing of winners are wrong.

I was upset when the crowd's favorite and my Cabalen Helen Nicolette Henson placed 2nd runner up! She deserves to be one of the major titlists. It's too obvious and i think many will agree with me that she should have won any of the international titles. Helen has all the characteristics that we are looking for a delegate that would best represent us in the arena of international pageants.

I  was expecting Mary Ann Ross Misa to be included on the top five, but what the heck!  I would be more happy if she lands on the position of Helen but not to be included on the top five is a waste.  I was rooting for Gwendoline Ruais, the towering six footer lady. Again, I was thwarted for not being on the top five. If everyone agrees with me I think Gwen is our answer to the Venezuelans and other Latinas in international pageants, but with what happened I think it would be our lost again in battle of conquering the international crowns.

Madam Stella, what happened again? Until now I can't get over with the results of winners last night and until now I can feel the disapointment. They were so many deserving ladies but all of them were left behind. All I can say is that they were so many wasted beauties at this pageant.

With what happened, I'm no longer excited for the Miss Universe and Miss World competition because there's nothing to be expected from our representatives this year. But who knows, miracles might happen.

Congratulations to my Cabalen Helen Nicolette Henson, you are more than just a 2nd runner up!

TEMPERATURE IS RISING

Can you feel it coming down?
Comes down harder, harder
Comes down faster, faster
You're burning Hotcha!

You got my temperature rising
Like El Nin-YO!

Can you feel the fire in my eyes?
What my lips desire can't be denied
I can take you to a place where the sun don't shine
Oh owo wo, I'll melt your mind
You could say
I'm old fashioned
But a circuit snaps when the temperature rises
I'm all consumed by passion

I need rain rain rain
I'm burning up in here
This drought's 'bout to disappear
Rain rain rain
I'm burning up in here
Ready or not, open up

You got my temperature rising
Like El Nin-YO!

Don't leave me till I'm satisfied
I won't say "NO" to something I haven't tried
I won't object to my hands and feet being tied
This girt don't know 'bout being shy

Open up and let it rain

You got my temperature rising
Like El Nin-YO!

Can you feel it coming down?
Comes down harder, harder
Comes down faster, faster

Come on and let it rain

Open up and let it rain

You got my temperature rising
Like El Nin-YO!

You're burning Hotcha!

THE HEAT IS ON!

The sun shines so hot the whole day, sweat runs constantly just like having a sauna, it's no doubt that it's officially summer!

People flock over beach resorts, swimming pools get crowded, halo-halo vendors sprouted like mushrooms in every corner of the streets. Indeed, everyone is feeling the heat.

Many people now starting their summer vacations, some would like to spend over the mountains, some on the waters, some just staying at home. But whatever our plans this summer, make sure that we have to keep safe.

Just like others, I'm planning to have my summer vacation also. This time I'm thinking of camping or hiking, I'm tired of the usual beach or swimming. Maybe this time I'll try a different way of spending my summer. I heard a lot of good stories about anawangin cove in San Antonio Zambales. I tried browsing some info over the internet and I'm quite fascinated by the informations that I read about this place. There are lots of good reviews and comments about the place that made me excited to see this so called "paradise".

With the photos I've seen, it made me thrilled to visit this place immediately. And I won't let summer pass without exploring this place.

Who wants to go with me? :-)

CEBU BIRTHDAY TRIP

Finally my special day was over, my four-day stay in cebu has ended. My birthday trip in Cebu was truly a remarkable experience! Though there were some things that didn't go well the way I expected but over all my stay there is absolutely wonderful.

I explored the whole Cebu City, I had my city tour for two days. From Mactan to Mandaue to Lapulapu and Lahug. I stayed at a cheap hotel along the famous Mango Avenue, just a walking distance from Fuente Osmena.

I experienced all kinds of transportation while staying there, from air, land and sea, and of course how can I forget my experience riding a habal-habal going to the highest peak of Cebu. As part of my city tour, I was advice by some of the locals to see Mountain view. It was not part of my plan as I'm scheduled to visit Tops, but according to the hotel receptionist it is best to visit Mountain view to have a view of the whole city. Well I guess they are right because while going there riding a habal-habal I was able to appreciate the view. It's like going to Baguio, the zigzag road and the steep road and the cold temperature as you reach the highest peak of the mountain. When you reach the top, you can have a bird's eye-view of the whole city and the scenery is quite breath-taking.

I was a little bit disappointed in not seeing the famous Cebu dancing inmates. As part of my city tour is to visit the CPRD, however, when I reached there, I wasn't able to come inside as I was told that their performance are scheduled every saturday and sunday morning, but too bad I will be at Bantayan Island for the weekend.

On my last day in Cebu, I headed to Bantayan Island for swimming. I heard that there are good white sand beaches there. It is a three-hour bus ride taking the long and winding road before you reach the port going to Hagnaya, and from there, another one-hour ferry ride to Sta. Fe. The long hour bus ride is worthy as the island is stunning. The white sand beach though not as fine as in Boracay but over all it was perfect. I stayed in a economical resort for an overnyt just enough to appreciate the exquisiteness of the Island.

Over all, my stay in Cebu was  unforgettable, the people, the place and the whole experience. I am hoping for another trip probably with my beau this time.
